“Prague” Hydrangea and Rose Bouquet with Alstroemeria

€35.00
Tax included

The “Prague” bouquet brings together hydrangea, roses and alstroemeria with gypsophila and greenery, tied by hand by Ekaterina in our Palma workshop. It is pictured without paper; yours will be wrapped in paper and ribbon and handed over at the door anywhere on the island, the same day if you order early enough. Its shades depend on what arrives that morning.

“Prague” hydrangea and rose bouquet: made in Palma, at the door anywhere in Mallorca today

One hydrangea, two roses and three stems of alstroemeria, with gypsophila and greenery: that is “Prague”, a hydrangea and rose bouquet in a single size, which Ekaterina ties by hand in Palma.

It is made on the day it goes out, with flowers that reached the workshop that morning, and our own team hands it over at the door, whether in Palma or at the far end of the island; get your order in early and it can be there today. The bouquet pictured is a real one, in white and green (hydrangea, roses, alstroemeria with fine burgundy streaks and plenty of gypsophila), held together by nothing more than a satin ribbon. Yours will be wrapped in paper and finished with a ribbon, and its shades will depend on what came in that day.

What's in the “Prague” bouquet

One hydrangea
A single flower head gives the bouquet its fullness: it is the biggest bloom in it and the thirstiest.

Two roses
The classic rose shape among all the smaller flowers; in the photo, they match the hydrangea.

Alstroemeria and gypsophila
Three stems of alstroemeria, each with several flowers, and a cloud of gypsophila that keeps it all light and airy.

When to give it

Birthday
To wish someone a happy birthday, at home or at work, with a few words of your own on the card.

Saying thank you
For watering your plants while you were away, covering a shift or helping with the move: a thank-you that stays on the table for days.

New baby or christening
To welcome a new baby or congratulate the family on the christening day; in the photo, the bouquet is white and green.

From afar
You live abroad and someone you love is in Mallorca: we take the bouquet round, and the words on the card are yours.

How to care for a bouquet with hydrangea

  1. When you unwrap it: give every stem a fresh slanted cut and remove the lower leaves so that none of them touch the water. Then stand it in a really clean vase of cool tap water.
  2. Keep it topped up: hydrangeas drink a lot, so check the water level daily, refresh the water every couple of days and take a little off the stems as you do.
  3. Keep it cool: not in the sun, not by a radiator and not next to fruit, which makes flowers age faster. In summer, pick the coolest room you have.

FAQ about the “Prague” bouquet

What goes into the “Prague” bouquet?

One hydrangea, two roses and three stems of alstroemeria (each stem carries several flowers), plus gypsophila and green leaves, all tied by hand. In the photo it has no paper, just a satin ribbon; the one you order will arrive in paper, tied with a ribbon. And the photo isn't a stock image: we made that bouquet ourselves.

Will mine be as white as the one in the photo?

In the photo it is all white and green, but the exact shades depend on which flowers arrive that day: the white may be purer, more ivory or creamier, and the streaks on the alstroemeria may be stronger or fainter. The flowers themselves (hydrangea, roses, alstroemeria and gypsophila) and the size stay the same. If colour matters most to you, our hydrangea-only bouquet lets you choose it: white, blue or pink.

Can you deliver flowers in Prague?

No, sorry. The bouquet is called “Prague”, but we are based in Palma and only deliver within Mallorca, so we can't send flowers to any address in the Czech Republic; for that you would need a florist there. The other way round does work: if you live in Prague, or in any other country, and would like to surprise someone who is in Mallorca, place your order here and we will take it to them in person.

How big is it, and is there a larger one?

There is just one size, the one you see in the photo; a woman is holding it, so you can see how big it is next to her. We don't make it any bigger or smaller. For hydrangeas and roses on a grand scale, there is our premium bouquet of 50 roses and 15 white hydrangeas, made to be carried in both arms.

What if the hydrangea starts to droop?

It can happen: of all the flowers in the bouquet, the hydrangea needs the most water. The good news is that it usually recovers. Lift it out, give the stem a fresh cut at an angle and submerge the whole head in cold water for twenty minutes or so before putting it back. To avoid it altogether, keep the vase well topped up and away from sun and heat.

Can it be delivered today?

Very often, yes; the time you order is what decides it. If we receive your order before 9:00, it normally leaves with the morning deliveries; before 13:00, with the afternoon ones. We're out on the road Monday to Friday, 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00, and on Saturdays, mornings only (10:00–14:00); on Sundays we don't deliver. At checkout you choose the date and a time slot, and we carry the bouquet to the door ourselves, anywhere on the island. You are also welcome to pick it up at the shop in Coll d'en Rabassa, a short way from the airport. Any questions? Ring +34 658 838 056 or drop us a WhatsApp.

Can I dry it as a keepsake?

Part of it, yes. The hydrangea and the gypsophila (also called baby's breath: the cloud of tiny flowers you can see in the photo) dry best. Hang them upside down, separately, somewhere dry and out of the sun, and leave them until they feel crisp and papery. After that they will keep for a long time in a vase with no water. Roses shrink more as they dry, and alstroemeria is best enjoyed fresh.

Who are you?

Floristería Mallorca is our family's flower shop in Palma, and the website is in four languages so that people who live elsewhere can still get flowers to someone on the island; you can order in English, Spanish, German or Russian. At checkout you set a date and a time slot for delivery, and if the right words for the card won't come, Bloomi, the site's AI assistant, will offer some ideas. The website and Bloomi are Sergio's area. The flowers are Ekaterina's: she picks them every morning and makes up each bouquet herself, by hand, at our workshop on C/ Cardenal Rossell 73, Coll d'en Rabassa (Palma). And the delivery is ours too, by hand.
