“Premium” Orchid Arrangement in a Ceramic Pot

It is a living plant. The three orchids stay in their pots, roots and all, inside the ceramic base, so they don't stand in water like a bouquet and they last a great deal longer. That makes it a present that is still there, in the home or office, long after the occasion itself.

Sparingly, and only once the moss and the growing medium feel dry; if they are still damp, wait. The key thing is that no water sits in the bottom of the base, because orchid roots rot when they are waterlogged. Find it a bright position, though never in direct sun, and keep it clear of radiators, air-con units and draughty doorways.

With good care, yes, it can bloom again. When the last flowers drop, leave the stem alone while it is still green, as new buds sometimes appear along it. Keep to the same light and watering routine and be patient: every plant has its own pace.

Usually, yes: it all hinges on when you complete your order. Place it before 9:00 and the orchid normally travels on our morning route; before 13:00, on the afternoon route. Our vans are out on weekdays in two shifts, 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00, and on Saturdays for the morning shift only (10:00–14:00); on Sundays the vans stay put. You pick the delivery day and window during checkout; then one of us brings the plant round in person, wherever you are on the island. If it is easier, collect it yourself at the shop, which is in Coll d'en Rabassa.
